Stag-headed or Blasted Oaks, trees with hollow trunks and branches caused by various fungal diseases which attack the 'heart' wood. The hollowness causes die back of the upper branches. Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve, Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire.
